Delicious Brownies

We have made brownies many times before but this recipe turned out to be by far the best one. The brownie turned out soft and slightly fudgy in the middle and had the perfect crisp crackly top.

This is the recipe we used.

Ingredients

110g chopped dark chocolate, 85g unsweetened cocoa powder, 225g unsalted butter, 300g light brown sugar, 4 eggs, 110g self-raising flour.

Method

Preheat the oven to 170c. Melt the dark chocolate, cocoa powder and butter in a saucepan, and let it cool slightly. Whisk the sugar and eggs until light very light and creamy. Pour in the chocolate mixture and then add in the flour. Fold together until evenly mixed. Scrape into a square baking tin and bake for 40 minutes, or until the outside is set. The center will continue to cook as it cools. Leave it to cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

We like to enjoy our brownies slightly warm and fresh from the oven. Perfect with a glass of red wine, or a cup of hot chocolate.
